UPG

Category: Magical Theory & Spiritual Experience

Definition:
UPG stands for Unverified Personal Gnosis. It refers to spiritual knowledge or insight received directly by an individual—through visions, dreams, trance, intuition, or deity contact—that isn’t confirmed by historical records or shared by others in the wider community.

Usage:

“During meditation, I received a message from Freyja that isn’t in any lore. I’m treating it as UPG for now.”

Why It Matters in Corvus Veritas:
In our eclectic tradition, UPG is not only accepted but celebrated—as long as it’s treated responsibly. It’s part of your personal relationship with the divine. We encourage students to keep a record of their UPG but also discern between personal truth and communal teaching.

Guidance for Students:

  • UPG is valid, but not infallible.
  • Share respectfully and with context (e.g., “This is my experience…”).
  • UPG should never be forced onto others or override open community dialogue.
  • UPG can be beautiful, sacred, and meaningful—but use grounding, research, and peer discussion to balance your practice.
